Preem invests in "Green Diesel"
2008-07-08 11:25:52

Preem announced today that the company is investing a quarter of a billion SEK in order to extract "green diesel". The company is adjusting one of their refineries to green raw material, and the renovation is estimated to be finished by the end of next year. The adjustment means that the refinery in addition to crude petroleum also will be able to refine several different kinds of green raw material, such as vegetable oils and animal fats, into high quality diesel fuel. According to the press release Preem will, in order not to rival with the production of groceries, first and foremost use forest based raw material.
