| Seven finalist for "Green Oscar" |
Seven enteprises are selected globally for the 2008 Aschden Awards for sustainable energy, widely considered as the "Green Oscar". The finalist are: Cooperativa Regional de Electrificacao Rural do Alto Uruguai Ltda (CRERAL) of Brazil, Renewable Energy Development Project (REDP) of China, Gaia Association of Ethiopia, Kisangani Smith Group of Tanzania, Fruits of the Nile of Uganda, Technology Informatics Design Endeavour of India and Aryavart Gramin Bank of India. The winner, selected on June 19, will be eligible for a cash prize of 40 000 punds.
