Portugal lead the way for electric cars

Portugal is to become the first European country to be supplied with electric cars by Nissan and Renault after signing an agreement to create a national network för zero-emission cars within three years. The plan, according to Financial Times, highlights Portugals commitment to ivnest in clean energy, in spite of concerngs that the global economy i deterring governments to fight global warming. According to the plan, companies and motorist who buy the electric cars will be exempt from road an other vehicles taxes and individuals will qualify for income tax benefits of up to euro 200, said José Socrates, prime minster.
