2008-11-18 13:25:40 BMW plugs into new markets for Mini. The German carmaker introduce (as we have written about) its alternative to petrol. The E-Mini, the electric version of its sporty small car, is looking for 500 people in California, NY and New Jersey to lease the first version. BMW expects the car to be on the road in early 2009 according to Financial Times. The Mini E will have a 150-mile range but can only be recharged by plugging it into an electric outlet. The battery can be recharged overnight using a 240 volt outletm but requires a full day on the 110 volt outlets more common in the US. |
