Norway to double state fund promoting ren. energy

Norway will double a state fund promoting investments in renewable energy to 20 billion Norwegian crowns ($3.41 billion) in 2009, Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday."Over the last three years my government has doubled the funding for investments in this area. We will continue along this path, ensuring that Norway remains among the top international producers of renewable energy." - "Next year we will double the capital in the Fund for Renewable Energy from 10 billion crowns to 20 billion," he said in a speech to a conference at Lillestroem, near Oslo.
